About Department

This Administration aims to strengthen and promote the links between the Ministry and its employees on the one hand and between the Ministry and government, civil authorities and the public, which deals with the Ministry on the other hand, also defining and introducing the activities, objectives and mission of the Ministry, besides highlighting the Ministry's media role, in addition to enhancing the presence of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment in the community, as well as reflecting the achievements and services provided to the trade and investment sectors, more over reflecting the Ministry's role in developing and boosting the National Economy by attracting foreign investments, further more doing the necessary integration with the relevant bodies at home and abroad, finally activating the necessary communication with the media for fulfilling the Ministry's objectives and for the realization of the Kingdom's Vision  2030.


Tasks:​
  • Prepare the annual plan for the Administration, and do the necessary implementation after getting the approval.
  • Coordinating with other departments in the Ministry to accomplish joint works.
  • Enhance the positive mental image of the Ministry at home and abroad
  • Highlight the Ministry's role regarding practicing business easily, protecting investors and entrepreneurs, as well as stimulating the trade and investment environment.
  • Effective communication with the media to reflect the achievements of the Ministry
  • Develop and implement plans and programs for the General Administration activities, carry out the necessary implementation after getting the approval.
  • Coordinating with other departments in the Ministry to accomplish joint works.
  • Develop and update media and public relations plans of the Ministry, also do the necessary updating and review.
  • Supervise the reception of the Ministry's guests and prepare programs and schedules suitable for their visits, arrange the accommodation  in coordination with the relevant administrative units in the ministry.
  • Strengthen and enhancing links with government and private agencies related to the Ministry's work and activities, as well as with the community members through ongoing media communication. 
  • Coordinating with media for preparation of information programs about the Ministry's activities, in cooperation with the relevant departments.
  • Providing various media with investigations and press reports on the activities of the Ministry, in accordance with the relevant Rules and Regulations.
  • Follow up the articles published in newspapers and new media about the Ministry, and give appropriate answers and respond to queries, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations.
  • Supervise the media center and activate its role related to preparation and implementation of programs, materials, media campaigns and exhibitions to introduce the Ministry's mission and activities.
  • Supervise the preparation of bulletins to highlight the activities of the Ministry in order to educate employees and and make them aware of MCI objectives.
  • Supervise providing services and facilities relevant to holding seminars and meetings organized by the Ministry, supervise and organize as well the meeting halls.
  • Determine the general administration needs of manpower, equipment and materials and work to provide them.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the General administration activities, achievements and submit proposals for performance development.
  • Any other tasks assigned to the Administration within its competence.
