His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi, conveys his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense for the cabinet approval on the Guide and Organization Chart for the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.

H.E. Dr. Al Qasabi affirmed that the new organization chart will contribute to achieving the Ministry's strategy and objectives, as well as it will go in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This would promote the Ministry's endeavors to achieve a leading position for the trade and investment sectors in a fair and stimulating environment, also this step would reflect the Ministry's great interest in E-Commerce, and its endeavors to develop and stimulate such commerce, focusing at the same time on its advantages. The new organization chart will be based on quick technical solutions and smart business.

The new MCI Organization Chart, which comes after 15 years since the issuance of the previous one, gives the customer services great attention, besides setting up and developing performance indicator measurement, also raising the performance and service quality of the Ministry's branches in all regions of the Kingdom. The new organization chart will establish a special Deputy Ministry for customer services, covering all branches.

Since the Ministry takes into consideration the priorities of providing the best innovative solutions and technology to enhance smart business, besides improving its own capabilities, and for achieving such goal, a special Deputy Ministry for Planning and Development has been created.

Since the policies and regulations are considered the main potential and source of power for the private sector and the commercial environment, the Deputy Ministry for Technical Affairs has been renamed under the title of Deputy Ministry for Policies and Regulations. This would include and develop the whole legislative system, also the Interior Trade has been renamed under the title of Deputy Ministry for Business and Investment. This is to enhance the legislation and supervision approach, besides easing and facilitating the investment process.

The new organization chart also includes creating a Deputy Ministry for Joint Services. This is for the consolidation and integration of key services in the following departments: financial, administrative, engineering and human resources. Thus ensuring their work integration, as well as creating special department for Documentation and Archiving.

Since the Ministry of Commerce and Investment has great interest in e-commerce and its role in enhancing the national economy, an E-Commerce Center has been established to motivate and develop its transactions, so that to keep abreast of the best international experiences and to coordinate directly with the newly established E-Commerce Board. This is to ensure the implementation of its decisions and initiatives.

Meanwhile, an office has been set up to manage the Ministry's transformation in all its work. This is to ensure the realization of the Ministry's strategy and objectives.
