The Ministry of Commerce inspection teams have carried out field inspection tours in Qatif district to verify the availability of foodstuffs and commodities. This comes after the suspension of entry-exit to Qatif Governorate temporarily due to Corona Virus and for implementing preventive health precautions to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus.
The Ministry of Commerce confirmed the availability and abundance of goods, products and stocks in Qatif. The inspection teams are monitoring the supplies in Qatif and in all regions of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, the inspectors are proceeding their duties in controlling and inspecting the commercial establishments, to ensure the absence of any commercial fraud cases, and to impose the legal penalties on the violators. This is for protecting the consumers. The Ministry warns against any exploitation, manipulation or fraud.
The Ministry of Commerce urges all consumers neither to circulate rumors, nor to increase fears, and try to understand the current precautionary measures that come to ensure their safety. The Ministry calls on the consumers and all the public to lodge their complaints and to report any violations through the Ministry’s Consumer Call Center (1900), or through the application of a Commercial Violation Report, via the Ministry's official website.
