The consumer's protection center at the Ministry of trade and investment received more than 25,000 reports of 71,000 calls during the month of Muharram 1438 AH
Riyadh region was the highest rate of 36.80%, then Makkah by 23.63%, followed by Eastern Province with 16.10%, and 5.91% by Asser, Najran received the least number of calls by 0.14%.
The highest rates of reports came through phone calls by 60.62%, followed by the smartphone application "Commercial Report" at the rate of 36.56%.The highest reports were about the lack of spare parts and maintenance by 20.90%, followed by violation of non-compliance to the warranty conditions by 15.84%, then the overprice the groceries by 5.10%, and non-replacement and returns by 4.77%the rest were inquiries, observations, complaints and reports outside the MCI field of specialization.
It should be mentioned that the consumer protection center at the Ministry of Trade and Investment work 24/7 and specializes in receiving reports and calls on violations and follow them up automatically until the problem is solved through the inspectors.
